When scheduling your first session, we recommend contacting LightSpace to identify the instructor to best suit you.

DUET PILATES SESSIONS
Duet Pilates can be a great way to receive customized instruction in an environment that is more intimate than a class, but more affordable than a private session. Duet sessions may incorporate exercises using a variety of studio equipment (Pilates Reformers, Cadillac, Chairs, Springboards, etc.) and hands-on guidance to help you build a more dynamically stable, stronger, flexible, and aligned body, while guiding you in connecting to your center.
Please note, for a duet to be successful it works best for partners to be of a similar fitness level and with parallel availability. LightSpace can pair you with a duet partner, or you can bring someone you already know. For those with injuries wishing to start a duet, it works best to be paired with someone that has a similar injury.
We highly recommend a minimum of three private sessions before beginning duets.
DUET SESSION RATES:
|Apprentice Instructor (tier 2)*||$30||$250|
GROUP EQUIPMENT CLASSES
(Note: For your safety, three private sessions are highly recommended before joining group equipment classes)
Reformer classes are designed to improve postural alignment, strength, coordination, flexibility, balance, and mental focus with the added benefit of toning and shaping the entire body. The spring based resistance of the reformer helps you achieve this more quickly and efficiently than traditional Pilates mat class.
Pilates Equipment Fusion:
Fusion class takes advantage of almost every piece of Pilates equipment at LightSpace – including the Reformer, Jumpboard, Chair, Springboard, Rebounder (trampoline!) and more – to build a challenging, exciting, and spontaneous class each week. Fusion improves postural alignment, strength, coordination, flexibility, balance, and mental focus with the added benefit of toning and shaping the entire body.
GROUP EQUIPMENT RATES:
Apprentice Group Equipment Rates
Equipment classes taught by Lightspace Apprentices* are available for $20 per class (*as available).
The dynamic floor-based exercises in Pilates Mat class are designed to improve postural alignment, strength, coordination, flexibility, balance, and mental focus, with the added benefit of toning and shaping the entire body. Resistance circles, bands, stability balls and light weights are used, in addition to your own body weight.
Our approach to heartrate-boosting cardio offers a more holistic approach to fitness. Plyometric, strength, and core circuits are combined with Pilates Mat exercises in this high-intensity workout designed to make you sweat and boost your metabolism for hours after your workout is finished. Free weights, clubbells, and kettle bells are used to improve postural alignment, strength, coordination, flexibility, balance, and mental focus with the added benefit of toning and shaping the entire body. Class concludes with dynamic stretching and meditation, leaving you refreshed and rejuvenated.
MAT CLASS RATES:
In this class, participants are taught a series of Qigong movements called Gift of the Tao. These movements were developed over a 15 year period by Qigong Master Michael Lomax and are reflections of High Level energy patterns as seen on the higher vibratory planes of existence. These movements are designed to physically and energetically open the energy gates of the body and raise a student’s energy body vibration. Students should wear comfortable clothing. Sneakers are recommended but not required.
QIGONG CLASS RATES:
Available by appointment only
**At least 3-5 treatment sessions are recommended for proper restoration of Qi flow and balance in one’s body.
Injury and illness cause pain and dysfunction to our physical body as well as damage to our energy body, or Qi. Focusing solely on the physical body without addressing the energy body can lead to an incomplete recovery that can be difficult and frustrating! Incorporating energetic healing treatments into your recovery plan can maximize the benefits of the physical exercises and movements (Pilates, physical therapy, etc.) to heal.
At LightSpace we offer two approaches to restoring health and wellness for BOTH the physical and energetic body – Clinical Qigong and Shiatsu Massage. These treatments are designed to help restore energetic balance, health and wellness, and increased energy or “Qi” flow to the affected areas. Clinical Qigong and Shiatsu use all the same points and channels used in Acupuncture, but without the use of needles.
Clinical Qigong and Shiatsu Massage can address the following:
- Pain – excels as a pain relief therapy
- Plantar Fasciitis
- High/low blood pressure
- Digestion issues
- Respiratory issues
- Immune/auto-immune issues
- Women’s health issues
- Fascial damage
Clinical Qigong, or Taoist Neuro-Energetic Therapeutics, is the therapeutic art of Qi manipulation. Clinical Qigong practitioners cultivate and utilize their own developed Qi to address the entire neuro-energetic system, correcting energetic imbalances found in the body. It includes both on and off body techniques that restore balance, or homeostasis to the recipient. Techniques include a very light touch along the nerve synapses of the spine, and/or Qi projection (called “Wei Qi Liao Fa” – Healing with External Energy).
At LightSpace, our Clinical Qigong Treatments take place on a massage table, in a private space with clients fully clothed.
Shiatsu Massage uses touch along the body’s energy channels to address imbalances allowing the body to return to homeostasis or balance. Shiatsu can also help to create space throughout the body by rotating and stretching limbs and joints. The depth and intensity of the technique will vary based on your needs and preferences.
At LightSpace, Shiatsu is performed on a clothed recipient on a futon on the floor of a private space.
