DESK-BUSTERS
We all know and feel in our bodies the strain of technology – daily use of computers, tablets, and smartphones. Over time, continuous usage of these devices, combined with prolonged sitting, leads to Forward Head Posture – a slumped upper back with a hyper-extended neck. “Tech neck” as we call it, not only causes neck, shoulder, back pain, and tension headaches, but also leads to a weak core and gluteal muscles. On top of that, this posture can decrease oxygen intake, which affects blood flow, digestion, and cortisol (stress hormone) levels.
In this workshop, participants will learn to unwind the tension accumulated throughout a day of device usage! These restorative movements that can be executed as part of a daily routine while working at your desk.
